The Big Bank Theory, the latest feature film project by Squamish-based screenwriter/director/producer Adrianne Polo, will have its first official hometown screening next weekend at the Eagle Eye Theatre.
The film is a madcap comedy following two dimwitted characters attempts to return stolen money to a church, and stars a cast of local talent.
Operating on a microscopic budget Polo acknowledges the many local businesses in Squamish, Whistler and Vancouver that contributed sets, props, accommodations and catering, helping to make the independent film a reality.
The Big Bank Theory is Polos third feature film. She has also made short films and a TV sitcom and is the driving force behind the annual Sea to Sky Film Festival.
The Big Bank Theory screens at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Eagle Eye Theatre in Howe Sound Secondary School in Squamish. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 students and seniors, available at the door, or in advance from Highlands Books and Mostly Books. For information call 604-898-5930.
