Locals race Mad Trapper 

Panorama Mountain Resort hosted one of the top Cycling B.C.-sanctioned events in the province June 24-25 with dirt jumping, four-cross, and downhill.

Several Whistler athletes took part in the downhill:

Alex Prochazka finished second in the Under 17 Expert Men category, three seconds back of Steven Pawlitsky of Golden.

Jeff Leigh was fifth in the Senior Expert Men’s division, just over two seconds out of third place and a spot on the podium.

Tobias Klein raced in the Junior Sport Men 17-18 race, placing 10 th out of 26 starters.

Philip McGrath placed third in the Master 30 to 39 Sport Men’s category.

Lynn Aitchison was second in the Master 30 to 39 Sport Women’s category.

In the Under 15 Men’s group Nicholas Geddes was second, Simon d’Artois third and Alex Geddes sixth out of 20 racers.

Stacy Kohut also beat Pemberton’s Johnny Therien in the four-wheel event.
