Gibbons posts reward for ski team Longhorn Saloon owner Dick Gibbons has added an incentive for Canadians to this weekend’s World Cup downhill. Gibbons has again offered $35,000 if a Canadian wins Saturday’s race on the Dave Murray downhill course. The former chair of the W5 Foundation, Gibbons offered the money last year and challenged other businesses to put up a similar offer for other nationalities. Last year’s race was cancelled due to too much snow. Gibbons’ offer is on top of the 60,000 Swiss francs prize money guaranteed for the top three finishers in Saturday’s downhill. Gibbons’ cheque is already made out to Edi Podivinsky, Cary Mullen, Luke Sauder, Brian Stemmle or Kevin Wert.
