So a Palestinian-Canadian film critic and an ex-English teacher walk into a bar...

Buffalo Bill’s continues its weekly comedy night this Tuesday with Vancouver comics Patrick Maliha and Paul Bae.

The Vancouver-based comedians will be drawing on material of a more (ahem) adult nature, in line with their performances in the Dark and Nasty Show, a hit at last year’s Vancouver International Comedy Festival.

Whistlerites may recall seeing Maliha at last September’s Comedy in the Sky Whistler Comedy Festival. The multi-ethnic comic is known for playing his Palestinian heritage for laughs. Local movie buffs may also recognize Maliha as one-half of review duo The Movie Guys from the program Urban Rush on Shaw TV.

Bae has a wealth of material from his background as a high school English teacher.

Maliha and Bae went head to head as finalists in the Seattle International StandUp Comedy Competition last November, finishing third and fourth respectively.

Obviously they’re better friends than bitter rivals. Catch Maliha and Bae’s Nasty Show at Buffalo Bill’s comedy night this Tuesday. The show starts at 9:30 p.m.
