Cost $300 deposit, $1,059.75 final payment When: Saturday June 21 to Monday July 14 Where: Meadow Park Sports Centre   What: WHISTLER GARDEN SALE Friends of the Library and the Whistler Garden club host the annual sale, with proceeds split between both organizations. Residents are asked to pot plants for the sale and provide any about the plant that they can. When: Saturday June 28 to Sunday June 29 Where: Alta Lake   What: COPS FOR CANCER BIKE RIDE Cops ride from Pemberton to Whistler to raise funds that will go towards pediatric cancer research and programs supporting kids with cancer. Cost $15 per person. When: Saturday June 28, 10 a.m. Where: Starts at Signal Hill Elementary School   What: CANADA DAY PARADE This year’s theme is sport, culture and sustainability… Whistler-style. Motorized vehicles are not permitted, as this will be Whistler’s first sustainable parade. When: Tuesday July 1, noon Where: Whistler Village Stroll ending at Mountain Square   What: STRAWBERRY TEA The Pemberton Women’s Institute will be hodling their annual event in conjunction with Canada Week Celebrations. Cost $4.50 for a piece of strawberry shortcake and tea or coffee. When: Thursday July 3, 2 – 4 p.m. Where: Pemberton Museum   What: FEAST OF FIELDS FESTIVAL The Chateau Whistler has partnered with the FarmFolk/CityFolk Society for the third annual harvest festival, an event that aims to expose Whistler residents to the finest organic foods that the community can offer. Cost is $199 per person, gets each participant a night’s sleep at the Cheateau, as well as a private tour through Whistler’s Farmer’s Market and a brunch buffet at the Wildflower restaurant. When: Saturday August 8 Where: Rebagliati Park   What: INAUGURAL MR. GAY CANADA COMPETITION Whistler is playing host to the first Canada-wide search for Mr. Gay Canada. The purpose is to identify people who take the responsibility to speak out for equal rights on a global stage. When: Thursday September 18 – Sunday September 21 Where: Fairmont Chateau Whistler   What: RCMP SEA TO SKY REGIMENTAL BALL RCMP officers from all over Canada gather at this annual event to raise funds for Cops for Cancer. Event will include silent auction, live music, piping, a traditional grand march, and, of course, dancing with officers in red serge.
