miller power brief

The Squamish Lillooet Regional District has set Monday, Feb. 7 as the public hearing date for the Miller Creek Power Project rezoning which, if adopted, will allow for an independent power project on Crown Land in the Pemberton Meadows area. As part of the deal to rezone the Miller Creek watershed, $150,000 will go to the village of Pemberton. It will likely be put toward a recreation centre in the valley. The hearing will take place at 7 p.m. in the SLRD boardroom in Pemberton.
