Mountains move into summer time 

Summer may finally have reached the mountains.

As happens every year about this time Creekside and Blackcomb accesses are closed.

But Whistler Mountain is open for skiing with access through the village.

Parking in Whistler Village will not change, but the parking at Base II no longer offers skiing access. Lot 5 is a currently a construction site.

The new passes for the mountains are available at village Guest Relations. Spring passes are $199 and are valid until June 9 th .

Whistler Blackcomb is also offering a Bike Park seasons pass for $199, which includes the lift. If you don’t want the lift as part of the deal it will set you back $167. These passes are valid until October 13.

Spring pricing is also in effect, lowering the price of an adult lift ticket to $39. An adult Mountain Bike park pass is $32, youths are $28 dollars.

Tickets are available at the Village Gondola until October 13.

Three shops for rentals and repairs are closing for the season: Whistler Village Gondola rentals, MAC Pan Pacific, and the Carleton rental shops.

Essentially Blackcomb Hi pro rentals will stay open till June 9.

The Whistler Ski School is also winding down for the season. The learn-to-ski group finished April 28. Private lessons on the other hand will continue till May 20 th .

Whistler Kids is done for year, but the day-care operates all year round.

Whistler’s terrain parks and pipes are open 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Downloading is in effect from Olympic Station. Helmets and passes are mandatory for the Highest Level Terrain Park.

Village Gondola, Emerald Express, Big Red Express, T- Bar and the Peak Chair, will all continue running. The Harmony Express is only running on weekends.

Garibaldi Lift Company, Merlin’s Bar and Grill, and Dusty’s are closed till next winter.

All the retail shops are staying open except the Can-Ski in Creekside.
