Staying true to his promise to stay in touch with his constituents, West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country Member of Parliament Blair Wilson has announced plans for a summer town hall series.
This riding is the largest in Canada by population, the fourth largest in total area, but also one of the most difficult to navigate with mountain roads and ferry rides connecting communities.
"The aim of the town halls is to create the opportunity for constituents to discuss their concerns face to face with their Member of Parliament, and to have their questions about whats going on in Ottawa answered," said Wilson. "Your feedback is invaluable."
There will be seven town hall meetings in his riding between July 19 and August 15 while Parliament is on break. In the Sea to Sky corridor, town halls will be held on the following dates:
Squamish July 19 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, Squamish City Hall
West Vancouver July 25 at 7 p.m., Peters Room, Memorial Library
Whistler August 8 at 7 p.m., Studio A, MY Millennium Place
Other meetings will be held in Gibsons, Powell River, Sechelt and Bowen Island.
"Seven town halls may seem like a lot, but I am committed to putting in the time thats needed for my vast riding," said Wilson.
