museum manger

As of June 15 the Whistler Museum and Archives will be under new management. Meaghan McKie will take over from Janet Love-Morrison as the museum’s manager. McKie holds a bachelor of arts degree from UBC with a major in anthropology and museum studies. She has previously worked for the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Since moving to Whistler she has worked for Whistler-Blackcomb in the finance and operations departments. McKie was born in Vancouver and says that since the 1960s, Whistler has always been a second home for her. "I’m very excited to be a part of the museum and being involved in seeing Whistler’s history into the next millennium," said McKie. After four years of involvement with the museum, Love-Morrison will be moving on to pursue new writing and teaching challenges.
