Local musicians have been busily toiling away, crafting
original material to perform during the first King and Queen of Song
competition.
Designed to offer Whistler’s talented musicians a unique
opportunity to break away from playing covers, the songwriting showcase is
being organized by long-time local performer, Drew Wilson.
Aside from a chance to give crowds a glimpse of their creative
prowess, there are some sweet prizes up for grabs — including a day at
the Digital Sound Magic Recording Studios in Vancouver, a guitar from Tom Lee
Music, gigs at the Crystal Lounge.
The competition takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Crystal Lounge.
