MY Place in the hunt for new GM

The Maurice Young Millennium Place Society is in the hunt for a new general manager for Whistler’s cultural hub following the resignation of Rob Schwartz.

In a written statement Schwartz indicated he and wife Patty felt the need to relocate closer to family in the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S.

"It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with everyone here and I will sorely miss the people of this town as well as the various groups that I have been fortunate enough to work with," Schwartz said.

MY Place’s transition strategy will see Schwartz continue in his position until a suitable replacement is found.

"We are very sorry to see Rob resign," said MY Place board chairperson Jane Milner. "He has provided MY Place with tremendous growth and good solid management. He has been a great addition to the Whistler community. We will miss him."

My Place is a not for profit, charitable organization, with a mandate to facilitate the community’s creative, spiritual, and intellectual ideas.
