The AWARE Kid's Nature Club is hosting a solar model car race on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Whistler Public Library, inviting kids aged six to 12 to build a solar-powered toy car to race against others and win prizes for design and creativity.

It's free to take part, and the models will be provided free of charge to participants by Impact 4Good. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet at 10 a.m. at the library. Kids will build their models first then take them outside to race in teams. The goal of the race is to teach children about alternatives to fossil fuels, like solar energy.
