New board, executive elected to Pemberton Chamber

Pemberton Chamber of Commerce elected a new board of directors at the chamber's annual meeting on Feb. 2.

Mark Blundell of Pemberton Valley Supermarket has stepped aside as president, but will still be involved with the chamber in his new role of past president. Karen Ross of Pemberton Esso replaces him as president for 2012.

Courtney Foxgord of Big Sky Golf Inc. is the chamber's vice-president for the coming year, and Shirley Henry continues in her role as secretary-treasurer.

The chamber's directors are: Anna Helmer of Helmer's Organic Farm, Richard Keep of The Wood Restaurant & Lounge, David MacKenzie of the Pemberton Valley Lodge, Kirsten McLeod of Pemberton Valley Supermarket, Paul Vacirca of Pemberton Valley Hardware Ltd., Paul Selina and Jennifer Forlin. David Lee of the Mount Currie Band and manager of Lil'wat Gas & Tsipun Corner Store, is an appointee to the board.
