New home designs, pricing fuel interest in Rainbow

75 per cent of resident-restricted homes now sold

A recent preview of new house and duplex designs at Rainbow generated substantial interest from the community, new developers Rainbow Joint Venture announced last week.

Luis Garcia, the Vice President and Director of Development and Sales for Rainbow Joint Venture said, "As the new developers, we are very excited at the response we received over the (Sept. 11-12) weekend. Many of our visitors expressed strong interest in purchasing one of our homes for sale. The price point of our duplexes and homes were in-line with their expectations and many expressed delight at the plans that incorporated a suite as it is great mortgage helper."

Rainbow Joint Venture has pumped new investment into the Rainbow project so that servicing requirements, including the paving of the road, for all the Resident Restricted Homes are scheduled to be completed by the end of October, 2010.

To date, approximately 75 per cent of the restricted-resident homes have been purchased and over 50 per cent of these are now owner occupied.

As of Wednesday, Sept. 15 there are 20 duplex homes available for sale with pricing starting at $361,225 and 14 single family homes with pricing starting at $596,900. All sales will be made on a first come, first serve basis but will still only be sold to full time residents of Whistler.

The Presentation Centre is now open for six days a week, from 1 to 5 p.m. every day, excluding Tuesdays. Appointments can be made outside of these times.
