New owners for Crested Butte

Tim and Diane Mueller, owners of Triple Peaks, have announced that they have entered into an agreement to purchase Crested Butte Ski Resort in Colorado from the Callaway and Walton Families for an undisclosed amount.

The letter of intent was signed on Oct. 28, and the sale is expected to be completed in late January or early February.

"We recognize the potential that exists with Crested Butte and are committed to making guest service and the overall quality of the recreational experience our top priority," said Tim Mueller. "Our vision for the future is to build upon the attributes of the mountain and community to reinforce its reputation for excellence."

Crested Butte is located in southwest Colorado. The resort has 85 trails, 1,058 acres and 14 lifts, and has an average snowfall of 240 inches (approximately 6.5 metres).
