Sale to get dogs’ tails wagging

The Puppy Zone is having a garage sale and proceeds will benefit WAG.

If you would like to get rid of your old dog gear, the Puppy Zone will be accepting donations of "gently used" dog equipment such as leashes, collars and crates to sell until the time of the sale on June 29 at 11 a.m.

The only bears that can be fed

The annual Whistler Teddy Bear Picnic will take place at the Myrtle Phillip Community Centre from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21.

Children aged 6 and under, their families and furry friends are invited to enjoy face painting, games, music and storytelling. Snacks will be provided and the event will occur rain or shine.

Museum commences summer fun program

Sundays at the Museum commences on June 22 and will provide an opportunity for children ages 5 and up to learn about various topics and have fun at the same time.

Each session will focus on a different topic and will feature guest speakers, artist and hands-on activities.

Topics will include: Butterflies, Moths and Moon Gardens; Freshwater Fish Habitat; Owling; and Antique Toys Road Show and Lego Extravanganz a.
