TAG: Murray’s it Bill Murray is the new chair of the Transportation Advisory Group. Murray takes over from Councillor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden. Wilhelm-Morden resigned from TAG and announced she was cutting back her council commitments last week. Her announcement came following the death of Robert McIntosh, a lawyer for Race Company, the firm Wilhelm-Morden works for. Wilhelm-Morden will be assuming much of McIntosh’s case load for the next few months. Murray, a former municipal councillor, was a member of TAG until his defeat in the November, 1996 municipal election. He was re-appointed to the group last year as a member of the public. Ted Milner is the new council representative on TAG. Mayor Hugh O’Reilly will continue to sit in on meetings, too. TAG had expected to make some decisions on the transportation master plan at a workshop this month. The workshop has been rescheduled to Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. Models wanted Organizers of a "one-of-a-kind charity fashion show" which will be held during Altitude 98 are holding auditions Monday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Chateau Whistler. Altitude 98 is the annual Gay Ski Week in Whistler, Feb. 1-8. The charity fashion show will take place on Feb. 5. Organizers are holding auditions for the volunteer modelling jobs on Monday. For information call 932-4829. Bear management plan drafted Members of the Black Bear Task Force have produced a first draft of a bear management they hope to present to the municipality this spring. The management plan will likely contain proposals for more rigorous bylaws regarding garbage disposal and suggest new bear-proof commercial garbage containers be made mandatory at all commercial sites.
