School's not out for summer Job competition being what it is, upgrading a high school education toward that diploma can be important. Whistler Secondary School is offering summer school classes in Grade 8-11 math and Grade 8-10 science. Last year the courses were available only to competitive skiers, but the courses are open to locals as well this year. Full course fee is $300, $150 for a half-course (students re-taking a course), or $100 for continuing adult students. Skiers Math course for Grade 9-11 maths is available, too. Registration deadline is June 30 for the "locals" summer school, but is June 1 for the Skiers Math courses. Information and registration forms are available at the high school, Whistler Adult Learning Centre and the Whistler Employment Centre. Classes run daily 1-4 p.m., July 6 to Aug. 7.
