Tipping fee all wet Rain has fallen on part of the municipality’s schedule of tipping fees. The tipping fee for gypsum/drywall board will go from $40 per cubic metre to $50 per cubic metre now that the municipality has discovered it is losing money at the old rate. In that time it was often rained on or absorbed water runoff which increased the mass of the drywall. Consequently, the municipality was delivering a larger tonnage of drywall to the recyclers — and charged for the extra weight — than it was collecting tipping fees on.
