This library rocks, dude The Whistler Public Library is alive with the sound of classic rock ’n’ roll. Thanks to the third instalment of a Whistler Community Arts Council fund, 47 compact disks now make up a "classic rock" collection for the library, Two previous donations from the arts council gave the library a jazz and classical music collection. CDs in the collection include the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, the Doors and Bruce Springsteen. The library now boasts 150 CDs that can be borrowed two days at a time. Old books for new The Pemberton Public Library is having its annual used book sale, Saturday, Nov. 2, beginning at noon and continuing until 4 p.m. Donations of good used books for the sale can be dropped off at the library during regular library hours.
