What: Rob Thompson Toe tapping Celtic and rock tunes with the boy from Bowen Island. Show 7 p.m.
Where: Dubh Linn Gate Pub
What: Mr. Whistler Pageant Whistler’s hottest hunks will duke out their looks for $1,000 in prize money as well as the coveted Mr. Whistler title. Tickets are $15/$10 for females and only 25 $50 tickets are available for men. In true pageantry style, ditch hoodies and toques for party frocks and ties. Doors 9 p.m.

What: Tri-Huff-A-Lung LUNA hosts a recreational triathlon in conjunction with World No Tobacco Day. The event is about completion, not competition. Paddle, bike or run to support friends or yourself kicking the smoking habit. Lots of prizes to be won. The entry fee is $10. Call 604-935-4922 to sign up. Event starts at 6 p.m.
