Nordic Festival gets underway next week

Whistler Olympic Park is gearing up to host three back-to-back World Cup competitions and Olympic test events, which will run over 10 days from Jan. 16 to. 25.

Whistler Olympic Park is gearing up to host three back-to-back World Cup competitions and Olympic test events, which will run over 10 days from Jan. 16 to. 25.

The DKB FIS Nordic Combined World Cup, which is a combination of cross-country skiing and ski jumping, takes place Jan. 16-17. More information is online at www.nordiccombined-vancouver.com.

The Viessmann FIS Cross-Country World Cup takes place from Jan. 16 to 18, with sprint, team sprint and individual pursuit races. More information is at www.crosscountry-vancouver.com.

The Viessmann FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is from Jan. 23 to 25, with both short and long hill events. More information is at www.skijumping-vancouver.com.

All events are free for spectators, and take place at Whistler Olympic Park.
