Not your typical picnic 

Tourists and locals alike turned out to learn about local foods (and sample them, of course) during the third annual Feast of Fields, which was held at Rebagliati Park Saturday. In previous years, the event was held in Pemberton, but organizer Astrid Cameron Kent said the new location in Whistler helped boost attendance numbers, both from attendees and food producers. This year, Nita Lake Lodge, Ric’s Grill, Namasthé, Wild Planet Raw Foods, Mountain Club, Player’s Chophouse, Whistler-Blackcomb, La Rúa and Elements Urban Tapas Parlour get on-board. Cameron Kent said they are excited to start organizing next year’s event, which may again be held over the Labour Day long weekend.
