Obey from down under

Oz soul at Tommy Africa's

DJ/producer extraordinaire Craig Obey ships his main-floor style of filtered house and electro mixed with soulful vocals overseas from Sydney, Australia Thursday, March 2 to Tommy Africa’s.

Under the guise of Funk Corporation, Obey has enjoyed numerous club chart successes in both Australia and the U.K, including four number one hits as well as four Top-10 and four Top-20 tracks.

Obey knows how to fill a dance floor over his 18 years of working the Australia night scene circuit, including a seven-year residency at Home nightclub in Sydney.

His ambitions extend beyond kangaroo boarders with his support for many international stars such as Roger Sanchez, Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong and Deep Dish, just to name a select few.

When not touring, Obey is busy getting ready for his new album release The Elektrik Force via the Ministry of Sound label in April 2006.

Advanced $15 tickets are available at Hot Box Internet Café and Tommy’s. Doors 9 p.m.
