Ontario man’s death considered accidental

The Squamish RCMP are still investigating, but at this point it's believed that 28-year-old musician Michal Majewski of Oshawa, Ontario was killed in an accidental fall down a steep slope.

Majewski was in Squamish to visit friends and was at a field party off Squamish Valley Road on Saturday evening when he went for a walk. When he didn't return by the following morning his friends called the RCMP, which launched a search of the area. He was found at the base of a steep slope on Sunday evening, apparently dead from injuries he sustained in the fall.

The circumstances are still being investigated, and RCMP are waiting for a toxicology report to determine if alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
