Orienteering lessons continue

Ultimate Outdoor Adventures is continuing its orienteering clinics through the month of August in the Brandywine Valley with sessions for beginners and intermediates, followed by small orienteering races. Future dates are Aug. 2, Aug. 16, Aug. 17, Aug. 30 and Sept. 13.

For people getting into orienteering, or learning to adventure race, it’s the ideal setting to get used to running with a map and compass, and picking up strategies for the sport.

The cost of the beginner clinic is $25, and $45 for intermediates. The race is another $25 per person.

Pre-registration is required. For more information, call Jackie Slavenova of Ultimate Outdoor Adventures at 1-604-671-2931, or e-mail info@uoadventures.com. You can also register online at www.uoadventures.com.
