WHISTLER FISHERIES STEWARDSHIP GROUP The WFSG exists to restore Whistler’s waterways through education, projects, advocacy, and community partnerships. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the summer for water quality sampling, fish monitoring, educational programs and habitat restoration. WHISTLER HOUSING AUTHORITY Provides long-term rental and ownership housing for Whistler residents. All eligible residents can register with the WHA to purchase or rent a resident restricted property. WHISTLER Museum and archives Featuring permanent exhibits on Whistler history, including early pioneer settlement, resort development, sport and athletics and the natural environment. Currently installations: Whistler Black Bear Project, Whistler: A Dream Realized, and Community Spaces. WHISTLER PUBLIC LIBRARY Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mon/Tues/Thurs and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fri/Sat/Sun. Closed Wednesdays. Located at 4329 Main Street in Village North. Drop-in pre-school storytime: 10:30-11 a.m. on Fridays and Sundays. Storytime programs are designed for 3 to 5 year olds but older siblings are welcome too. For more info call 604-932-5564.

WHISTLER SINGERS This adult community choir rehearses Wednesday evenings 7-9 p.m. preparing for performances throughout the year. New members both vocal and instrumental are always welcome. Call Candice at 604-932-3022.

WHISTLER WINTER CARNIVAL Experience a taste of winter activities at the Whistler Golf Club Driving Range, opposite the Westin Hotel. There’s dogsledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, maple syrup tasting and more! This free event is for locals and tourists every Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
