PEarl’s safe home A program designed to provide temporary shelter (one to five days) in a safe and supportive environment for women who are experiencing abuse in an intimate relationship, and for their children. With locations in Whistler and Pemberton, the program offers assistance, support, referrals, community resource and outreach services. Crisis line is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week: 1-877-890-5711 or 604-892-5711.

PEMBERTON/WHISTLER KARATE CLUB Teaching traditional Shito Ryu Karate since 1985. Non-profit, sanctioned and insured by Karate B.C., affiliated with the NKA and the WKF. RE-USE-IT CENTRE Open daily, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the recycling depot in Function Junction. New or used items that are clean, in good shape and working order will be accepted.

tetra Society, whistler chapter This non-profit volunteer-based organization creates assistive devices for people with disabilities. WHISTLER ANIMALS GALORE WAG is a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to protecting and enhancing the lives of lost, unwanted and homeless animals. Take part in volunteer dog walking every day from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Call 604-935-8364 or stop by the shelter located on Nesters Road by the recycling depot.
