Follow the leader Snowboarder Mark McMorris took a break from training with the Canada Snowboard jump camp in Whistler on Friday, Jan. 4 to shred a couple of laps with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The PM wore a Team Canada snowboard jacket from the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang during his ski vacation, a gift McMorris had sent following his bronze-medal win at the Games.

If a tree falls... At one point on Thursday, Jan. 3, heavy snow caused three separate trees to fall across Highway 99 between Pemberton and Whistler, limiting vehicles to single-lane alternating traffic around them.
