Participants named for Strut Your Stuff

The list of participants has been announced for the annual Strut Your Stuff Whistler Community Registration Fair, which takes place this Saturday, Sept. 7, at Whistler Secondary between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Parents and children can meet and talk with community group leaders, coaches and municipal parks and recreation staff at their information booths and sign up for seasonal sports and activities.

Participants already registered include minor hockey, gymnastics, figure skating, Jack Rabbits cross-country skiing, the Whistler Dance Academy, the children’s choir, the Blackcomb Freestyle Club, the Whistler Seawolves swimming club, parks and recreation programs, Millennium Place programs, and the Whistler Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders. More groups will be announced on the day of Strut Your Stuff.

In addition, Whistler Minor Hockey and the Whistler Skating Club will hold their annual used equipment sale. Items should be priced and brought in by 9 a.m.

Parents can also pick up applications forms for KidSport grants, which help to pay registration and equipment costs for children who qualify.

Community groups can still reserve tables by contacting the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Parks and Recreation department at 604-935-PLAY (7529).
