Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler resort is proudly hosting a special exhibition entitled, Homage to an Ancient Culture, by a renowned member of the Canadian cultural scene, Marilyn Lightstone. Known for her performances on stage, screen and television, Lightstone is perhaps best recognized from her appearances in Road to Avonlea, and two Anne of Green Gables mini-series. She has also appeared on stage at the Lincoln Theatre in New York and the Stratford Festival, and has written scripts for a number of television series. Clearly an artist who appreciates diversity, Lightstone has created a special show focused on the culture of the Haida Gwaii, which will be exhibited at Mountain Galleries starting on Saturday, March 28. The artist will be in attendance at the opening, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m.
