Pemberton Festival names 17 new acts

Sixteen musical acts and a Saturday Night Live comedian have been added to the lineup for the Pemberton Music Festival.

Comic Jay Pharoah — known for his impressions of Jay Z, Barack Obama, and Chris Rock — will perform in the comedy area during the festival, which takes place from July 16 to 20.

A wide range of musical talent has also been added, including Randy Newman, Justice (DJ set), Chance the Rapper, Rebelution, Lindsey Stirling, Minus the Bear, Foxygen, Tritonal, Araabmuzik, 3Lau, Cashmere Cat, Treasure Fingers, The Boom Booms, Break Science, The Madd Wikkid, and Nostalghia.

The new additions brings the total performers now listed to almost 100, according to a release put out by organizers HUKA on Wednesday, June 11.

As well, organizers announced the days the main acts would be performing.

Friday, July 18: Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt, Blondie, and comic Norm Macdonald.

Saturday, July 19: Deadmau5, Metric, Snoop Dogg, The Flaming Lips, New Pornographers, Fucked Up, and comedy from Bob Saget, Tom Green, and Lisa Lampanelli.

Sunday, July 20: Outkast, Frank Ocean, Modest Mouse, Sloan, Gold & Youth, with comedy from the Trailer Park Boys, Pharoah, and Natasha Leggero.

Festival shuttle routes have also been announced.
