The Pemberton Volunteer Firefighter’s Association and Willy G’s Restaurant have confirmed details of their upcoming dinner and silent auction. The event is slated for Thursday, March 18. The funds raised will support the award-winning Pemberton Fire and Rescue Department’s Auto Extraction Team. The rookie team won the 1998 B.C. The Pemberton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is a 25-member team, responsible for fire suppression and automobile accident rescue over a large region extending beyond the Village of Pemberton, south to Highway 99, to the Duffey Lake and Lillooet Lake Roads, and north to Meager Creek and the Hurley Road. All members are volunteer and on-call 24 hours a day. Viewing of auction items will commence at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person, and include a three-course dinner. They are available at Willy G’s in Pemberton. Call 894-6411. More donated items are required for the auction, contact Bruce Wienberg at 905-3209.
