Get ready for an evening of family fun at the Port Pemberton Night fundraiser with a salmon dinner, kid’s activities, live music and other events on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Pemberton Museum.

Tots and tykes can engage in games and activities from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a dinner of fire-cooked salmon, salads and deserts with tea and coffee.

Local entertainers will take over with skits and songs. The bluegrass band with a western swing The Courageous Mountain Rangers will headline the event.

The Pemberton/Whistler trio of Jeff Heintzman, Mike Grenzer and Larry Cosulich make up the six-year-old band’s core with new ranger editions Randy Goulding and Donald MacPherson. Formerly, the Tragically Hick, the band first played as a fivesome at the infamous 2005 Pemberton Barn Dance with many more intimate concerts in tow throughout southwest B.C. The Rangers always look forward to performing in the museum’s intimate setting where no amplifiers or microphones are required.

Along with live music, the fundraiser also includes door prizes and raffles.

Guests are invited to bring their own refreshments; there is no bar.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Admittance for children under 6 years old is free.

Only 80 tickets are available for this intimate shindig, so pick up advance tickets at Pipes General Store, Bank of Nova Scotia, Credit Union or the museum.

To reserve tickets, call 604-894-5504.
