Some performers you already know and love, some you don't — but after the next four days of music and comedy you will know and love them, too. Here are our recommendations.
Snoop Dogg – It's the second time rapper Snoop Dogg has performed at Pemberton; this time he has a new album Coolaid — his 14th — out at the beginning of June, so expect some new music. Fun facts: Snoop was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame this year for his support for wrestling and for playing a master-of-ceremonies role at one bout.

Pemberton stage, Thursday, July 14, 9:45 p.m.
J. Cole – Rapper and producer J. Cole is a return visitor to Pemberton. His first live album Forest Hills Drive Live came out earlier this year and his compilation album with Dreamville, Revenge of the Dreamers II, came out in 2015.

Pemberton stage, Friday, July 15, 8:30 p.m.
Maria Bamford – Winner of the 2014 American Comedy Award for Best Club Comic, Maria Bamford is riding high with her new Netflix series Lady Dynamite! Bamford will bring her special frenetic style of stand-up to this year's comedy stage.

Whistler/Blackcomb stage, Thursday, July 15. 9 p.m.
FKA twigs – The British singer-songwriter went from being a background dancer to electronic, trip-hop and experimental R&B performer — breaking into the scene in 2012 with EP1. Her whispery voice is her trademark and she sees her poppy musical style as a descendent of punk music. Fun fact: Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson is FKA twigs' fiancé.

Mount Currie stage, Friday, July 15, 10:30 p.m.
The Killers – The Las Vegas post-punk rockers planned to collaborate with Elton John this year on their fifth album, following 2012's Battle Born. In May, bassist Mark Stoermer announced he was taking a break from the band, though he is involved in the current studio project.

Pemberton stage, Saturday, July 16, 8:45 p.m.
Cheech and Chong – Patron saints of counterculture hippie living, Grammy winners Cheech and Chong had to postpone their 2014 appearance on the comedy stage at Pemby Fest when Tommy Chong fell ill. But the stoners are back now, man, and the Up in Smoke legends are dope, quite literally.

Whistler/Blackcomb stage, Saturday, July 16, 10:30 p.m.
Die Antwoord – South African zef rap-ravers Die Antwoord are in the middle of a North American tour that is going well into the fall. Members Ninja and Yolandi Visser formed the band in Cape Town in 2008. Their most recent album is 2014's Donker Mag.

Bass Camp, Saturday, July 16, 10:45 p.m.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds – Mr. Gallagher is forever thought of as "the brainy one" and songwriter behind Oasis — but the High Flying Birds has been his solo project since 2010. The band's second album, Chasing Yesterday, came out in 2015. At the Montreal Jazz Festival last weekend, Gallagher was in cheeky Mancunian mode, "insulting" members of the audience, especially those who shouted out: "Where's Liam?"

Pemberton stage, Sunday, July 17, 7:15 p.m.
Pearl Jam – Seattle stratosphere huggers Pearl Jam have survived at the top for three decades, graduating from humble alt-grunge beginnings to stadium rockers. These days, Eddie Vedder and co. are touring; their most recent album is 2013's Lightning Bolt. They close out the 2016 edition of Pemberton.

Pemberton stage, Sunday, July 17, 9:30 p.m.
