Pemberton RCMP bust another grow-op

The Pemberton RCMP raided their second in-home marijuana growing operation this year in the early hours of Monday, Jan. 3.

They executed a search warrant on a Poplar Street dwelling and discovered a sophisticated grow operation with 192 plants.

Pemberton resident Kevin Cory Brazeau, 29, was arrested and charged with Production of a Controlled Substance and Breach of an Undertaking. The RCMP said the breach was regarding a similar offence.

A 24-year-old American, Christopher Michael Forsythe, was also arrested and now faces deportation to the U.S. from the Canadian Border Services.

Constable Devon Jones, spokesman for the Whistler-Pemberton RCMP, said police acted on a tip from the community.

The Pemberton RCMP discovered a $250,000 grow-op on Hemlock Street on July 17, and seized an estimated 300 plants.
