Pemberton RCMP targeting impaired drivers

The Pemberton RCMP are cracking down on impaired drivers, issuing 15 separate 24-hour suspensions and laying Impaired Driving charges against two local residents in recent weeks.

The RCMP have issued a notice to remind the motoring public of the consequences of drinking and driving.

"It is a common misconception that one or two drinks before driving is okay. You can be charged with Impaired Driving for any amount of alcohol in your blood if your driving is impaired as a result," Pemberton RCMP say in a release.
