Lisa Hilton has been in real estate for over a decade and shows no signs of slowing “I love helping people,” she says. "For me, it's all about them. It's just great seeing my clients meet their real estate goals.”

A huge part of Hilton's attraction to real estate in the Pemberton and Whistler areas comes from her ability to guide people through various major life stages.

“From their first starter home to upsizing when they have kids, or being able to help older generations ‘right size’ and sell their homes so they have the money to fund their next adventure,” says Hilton. “It's rewarding to be part of their journey.”

Hilton says that in her years of experience as a REALTOR®, she's learned that her biggest role is actually that of an educator.

“The first thing your REALTOR® should do is sit down and show you what's happening in your market,” she says. “Real estate is data driven and understanding the numbers is key. A good REALTOR® studies the statistics to make sure their clients are educated and empowered to make better decisions.

Understanding marketing is vital, she adds. “People think you put your house up for sale and it sells. But rest assured, it's not that simple. A good REALTOR® creates a marketing strategy customized to your property. One that targets the right buyers and executes on tactics to ensure your property reaches them. ”

Hilton says that for those looking for success in their real estate transactions, it’s important to ask for these skills.

“Frankly, it’s always a good time to buy and sell in both Pemberton and Whistler, you just need the right REALTOR® who can work with you to understand your goals and help you meet them,” she says.

When asked how she balances the high-paced demands of being a top performer, Hilton shared that she “loves the community here, it’s a beautiful place to work, live and raise a family. When I do take some time off, I enjoy spending time at the lake, cooking for family and friends, and this year my new passion project is beekeeping - a new hive just arrived today and I’m really looking forward to getting them settled into their new home in the apiary.”
