Pemberton to benefit from golf tournament

Get your golf clubs out and help raise some money for the Pemberton community.

The Pemberton Rotary Club is joining forces with the Chamber of Commerce to organize the second annual fundraising golf tournament, slated for Thursday, Sept. 20 th at the Big Sky Golf and Country Club in Pemberton.

Money raised will go to the Pemberton community, including the Pemberton Library and the Pemberton Children’s Centre.

Last year’s inaugural event raised an impressive $20,000, and the Rotary Club is hoping to surpass that amount at this year’s event.

Registration will take place at 11:30 a.m. that day, and the tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. An after-event dinner and auction will   begin at 6 p.m.

The registration fee is $125 and includes warm-up balls, shared power carts, great draw prizes, dinner, and the auction.

Non-golfers who want to get in on the action are also invited to come out to the dinner and auction for $45 only.
