Pemberton to receive infrastructure grants

Local MLA announces 20K grant for wells

Pemberton to receive infrastructure grants

The Village of Pemberton will receive $20,000 in provincial Infrastructure Planning Grants, West Vancouver-Garibaldi MLA Joan McIntyre announced this week.

“This funding will build on the infrastructure grants Pemberton received earlier this year for studies on the village's water and sewer systems. These latest grants will ensure the sustainability of Pemberton's water source, while building on the village's water conservation program,” said McIntyre.

Half of the funds will be used to identify a location for a secondary groundwater well. The additional funds are earmarked for an Infrastructure Management and Database Development Study. The goal of the study is to create a database of infrastructure assets, improve infrastructure reliability,   assist in long-term financial planning and identify health and safety issues.
