For the second straight week, the Pettit brothers, Sean and Callum, age 10 and 13, dominated the voting in the Whistler-Blackcomb’s King of the Rails competition last Saturday.

The two young skiers split the award for the week, including the $2 entry fees from the other skiers.

Lenny Robinavich and Amanda Beckinsale were the top snowboarders.

No female skiers have participated yet in the contest, which will be held every Saturday until Apr. 5.

Competitors can sign up starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Ski and Snowboard School Sales desk in the Upper Village. Participants will also require a Night Moves pass, which is good from 5 p.m to 9 p.m.

The contest itself takes place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., after which point the competitors get to vote for who they thought the best riders were in each category. A judge oversees the voting to ensure that it’s fair.

Prizes include a toonie for every person in a category, plus items from sponsors at Nintendo, SBC Media, Universal Music, The Glacier Shop and Westbeach.

Turnout has been excellent, with more than 60 skiers and riders turning up each week.
