SUMMERTIME STREET ENTERTAINMENT

For the little kids and the big kids at heart, the streets are alive with the sounds of comedy, congas and circus capers. On Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 7 p.m., you’ll never know quite what to expect when you walk along the strolls. Places to watch out for are the Village Common, Town Plaza Gazebo, Village Square, Mountain Square, and the Marketplace.

This weekend Tourism Whistler will unleash the Orchid Ensemble, playing some spiritually uplifting ancient instruments from China; the white-faced ’n’ quiet clown Cirque Alexander; and Rock-Paper-Scissors, mayhem at every turn. See mywhistler.com for a full schedule of appearances.

And don’t forget the Farmers Market in the Upper Village ever Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
