It’s a locals’ favourite for unwinding after a hard day. This cosy pub in the Upper Village has a fine selection of B.C. wines and micro-brewed beer, as well as an outstanding menu. Settle in on their couches for a game of cards or gab with their colourful bartenders. "We Be Smoke-free!"

Located in the centre of the action, it’s the top spot for people watching. Stay warm under the patio heaters or relax upstairs in the pool room.

Where: Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub

Casual atmosphere for warm conversation and cold beer. Bar staff operate a sound system of rock and roll numbers and the outdoor patio gives patrons the best air in the world.

Where: The Brew House

Great bar food and drinks, as well as a big screen TV – all the comforts of home minus the remote control. The bar staff also pump out classic rock and top 40 from the sound system.

Where: Amsterdam Café

This little spot in the village has it all – music, food and drinks – day and night. Great place for watching the local colour.

Where : Black’s Pub

Located at the base of the Village gondolas, with awesome views of both mountains and the downhill bike course. Enjoy their telescope to bear watch or star gaze. Fabulous food, 99 brands of beer, 40 scotches.

Where: Hoz’s Pub

Down to earth pub but still in that Whistler style. Take a quick ride out to the Creekside.

What : Oktoberfest Bavarian Beerhall Brew-Ha-Ha

Where : Whistler Conference Centre

This Munich-style beerhall will feature cash bar beer tastings, authentic food booths, The Edelweiss Dancers, a yodelling contest and live music by Al and the Alpiners. Tickets at the Whistler Activity Centre.

What : Missoula Children’s Theatre

Where : MY Place

When : 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

This theatre company recruits 50 local children to put on a full musical theatre experience. It’s their 10th year in the resort. This year’s performance is Sleeping Beauty, a rock and roll fable for all ages.
