Brew House tunes are always hopping, from morning to night. Outdoor patios make for great people watching in the village. Near all the bars, clubs and shops in between Marketplace and central Village Square.

Hoz’s is still open during the Lake Placid Road construction extravaganza. Easily accessible by mountain bike, ATV or canoe. Cut through the Creekside dust and sit down for a cool one at Hoz’s.

A funky place for a pint, a martini, or a meal, overlooking the Village Square. Live music some nights. For an international, younger crowd visit the ’Dam.

The warming floor for locals apres-ski. Located at the foot of both village gondolas. With snow-capped peaks and the mountain bike park in the background, enjoy their telescope to bear watch or star gaze. Casual atmosphere for warm conversation and cold beer. Bar staff operate a not-too-loud sound system of rock and roll numbers and the outdoor patio gives patrons the best air in the world.

Where: Dubh Linn Gate Old Irish Pub

Located in the Pan Pacific Lodge adjacent to the Excalibur gondola, at the bases of both Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains, with spectacular views of both. The patio at the Gate is the place to be – Whistler’s only Irish Pub Experience. The Gate offers great food, great people and great entertainment. Open for breakfast from 7 a.m., and kids are welcome too. A spectacular lineup of imports and domestics awaits you.

Where: The Underground @ Whistler Conference Centre

Leach, who was raised in Lillooet, is part of the Sta’atl’imx Nation. The blues guitarist is now based in Toronto, although he spends most of his time touring. He has performed with veteran Robbie Robertson and opened for Bo Diddley. He sings from his debut album, Just Where I’m At (Independent, 2000). He received the award for both Best Male Artist of the Year and Best Rock Album at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. Part of Weetama 2002. Tickets through Tourism Whistler.
