Whistler Street Entertainment

Free entertainment happens all week, at Village Square, Village Common, Town Plaza Gazebo, and Mountain Square. Presented by Tourism Whistler, this week’s performers include:

• Mike Battie, a Whistler legend adored by kids and adults alike, who brings dazzling physical comedy up close.

• The Trolls, mischievous minds from the forests of Norway.

• Mazimba, a West Coast African music duo who combine music of southern Africa on Marimba, as well as Gumboot Dancing from the mines of South Africa.

• Rock-Paper-Scissors, expect the unexpected with colourful costumes and spontaneous mayhem!

• Cirque Alexander, the silent white-faced clown who tickles your funny bone.

Local funksters Blue Steel play originals and covers like Macy Gray, with an acoustic bent.

Live Cuban music every Friday and Saturday, flamenco guitar and a true Latino feel.

Where: Bearfoot Bistro

Contemporary jazz from Chu. Casual and conversational-level jazz.

Who: DJ Deadly Cam

What: Hip Hop Night

Where: Tommy Africa’s

DJ Deadly Cam brings you new-school hip hop with old school reggae every Friday starting tonight. Good vibes all around. See entertainment news.

What: Fresh Fridays with DJ R3

Where: Garfinkel’s

Local spinster DJ R3 plays a mix of mainly hip hop (Eminem to Swollen Members), with a touch of R&B, every Friday night. Live mixing some nights. Turntabling delights, all the time, every week.

What: Superfunk with DJ Keph

Where: Maxx Fish

Whistler’s rising star DJ Keph is back scratching with the power of Thor’s hammer.

Where: Buffalo Bill’s

Peacefrog with familiar tunes from the latest Top 40 charts.

Where: Savage Beagle

A mix of Top 40 tonight and Saturday.

PUBS & PATIOS

Where: Havana Lounge

Located above Castro’s Cuban Cigar Store in the St. Andrew’s Building, for estate coffees, decadent desserts and film screenings. Open Thursday-Sunday, 5 p.m. to midnight. Relax in leather couches while enjoying classic Hollywood movies.
