What will the Whistler transit network look like in 25 years?
That's the question BC Transit is putting to area stakeholders as it begins the Transit Future Planning process.
The study area will include Squamish through to Mount Currie and all neighbourhoods in between. BC Transit wants to develop a Sea to Sky Transit Future Plan with area partners including the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) and Squamish Nation and Lil'wat Nation.
The proposed planning process will take up to 18 months.
The plan will ultimately define what the transit network should look like in 25 years and then prioritize the infrastructure and investment needed to realize that vision. It will also analyze the existing system to see how it can be improved.
The first meeting is scheduled for Dec. 10.
