Summer gardening is now in session, and local gardeners can get equipped for the season at this weekend’s annual plant sale at Marketplace parking lot.

The sale will feature a huge selection of garden gear, including a variety of plants that have been dug up from local gardens to share with others, and hundred of bulbs. Soil amendment, recycled from Carney’s, will also be available by the bag.

Local garden experts will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions, identify plants, and spread enthusiasm for the hobby.

The event will go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 th and is being organized by Friends of the Whistler Public Library and the Whistler Gardening Club.

Gardeners with plants to share are encouraged to bring them to the event during set up between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
