Whistler RCMP are trying to identify a male suspect after a theft of a camera was reported Wednesday, Feb. 19 from a village store.

Staff at a business in the 4300 Block of Sundial Crescent discovered the apparent theft of GoPro camera, which occurred Feb. 15, after reviewing surveillance footage.

Police believe the incident is related to a theft of a GoPro camera from a village business earlier this month, when a man reportedly cut the wire attaching the device to a display before fleeing the premises. A security guard pursued the suspect, who was not apprehended.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect's identity is asked to contact Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044.
