If you live, work or play on West Broadway in Kitsilano, get ready to buckle your belt one notch looser, because Purebread Bakery has opened up a brand new cafe in the neighbourhood.

The Whistler-based baked goods mecca opened its third Vancouver location on Friday, October 12, sliding into the space at 2887 West Broadway.

Purebread, known for their fresh-baked artisan-style breads, sandwiches, pastries, cookies, cakes, bars and more, is fresh on the heels of launching their much-anticipated, second full-service bakeshop cafe and production kitchen in Mount Pleasant this summer.

They are a well-known staple at several Metro Vancouver farmers' markets, while their two Whistler locations have been beloved stops for both locals and visitors for almost a decade. Purebread's first Vancouver location opened in Gastown in 2014, just over five years after their original location opened its doors in Function Junction.

Purebread's new Kitsilano location is taking over the space formerly occupied by Cupcakes Bakery. The signage (so far) is subtle, with just window decals (and the scent of glorious baked goods) to beckon passers-by. There's seating for about 20 people inside, based on a quick eye-balling of the brand new space.

Purebread offers coffee service from their espresso bar, as well as fresh lemonade. Many of their pastry display selections work great as a decadent lunch, but you'll definitely want to load up with treats to go, too.

Purebread Bakery is located at 2887 West Broadway in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighbourhood.
