The third Whistler-Blackcomb King of the Rails competition took place last Saturday with more than 60 snowboarders and skiers grinding the rails and boxes in the Night Moves jib park.
In the men's snowboard group, Cyr Grondin took the crown, followed by Oliver Evanshan and Simon Robitaille.
In the women's snowboard contest, the most votes went to Amanda Beckinsale, followed by Marni Yamada and Kana Ko.
The Kids' Ski category went to Bryan Tait, followed by Ben White and Max Horner.
The Men's Ski even went to Alex Whitman, followed by Mauro Nunez and Mathieu Day.
The next King of the Rails event is on Saturday, Feb. 14. Participants can register at the Blackcomb Daylodge Ski School Sales desk starting at 4:30 p.m.
The competition gets underway under the lights at 6 p.m. with an open jam session. At 7:30 p.m., the competitors meet and decide the winner for each category.
The names are then submitted to the head judge for a ruling, and the official winners are announced.
The entry fee is just $2 with a Night Moves lift ticket, and all participants are eligible to win from an array of draw prizes, including Atomic skis or snowboards.
